How do I set up my business?

Everything in Sahihi hangs off a business: its licences, its deadlines, its documents and its bill. Create it once and the compliance engine can start work.

Creating a business

  1. Enter the legal name exactly as it appears on your registration certificate.
  2. Add your BRELA registration number and your TIN if you have them.
  3. Choose the legal form, the industry, and the employee and revenue bands.
  4. Add your first location, with its region and district.

You become the owner of the business you create. Owners are the only role that can invite people or change the plan.

What each detail is used for

  • Industry and legal form decide which regulators apply to you at all.
  • Employee band drives payroll obligations, and the headcount is what the NSSF and WCF add-on is priced on.
  • Revenue band affects tax obligations such as VAT registration.
  • The region on each location decides your jurisdiction, which is a bigger deal than it sounds.

Bands, not exact figures. Sahihi asks for a range because the rules turn on thresholds, not on your precise numbers.

Working with more than one business

If you belong to several businesses, the switcher at the top of the screen changes which one you are looking at. Every page below it, including the dashboard and the bill, follows that choice.

Inviting your team

  1. Open the team page. Only an owner can.
  2. Enter the person's phone number and pick their role.
  3. They sign in with a one-time code and land in your business.

Pick the smallest role that lets someone do their job. The full role matrix is here.
