When is VAT due in Tanzania?

VAT is due on the 20th of the month. Sahihi points at the current month while the 20th is still ahead, and rolls to the following month once it has passed.

When is the BRELA annual return due?

Twenty-eight days after your incorporation anniversary, so the date moves with your own registration date rather than sitting on a fixed calendar day.

When is each filing due?

A licence row is what turns an obligation into a date. Add the certificate you hold and Sahihi works out when the next one is owed.

Adding a licence

Open the licences page and add a licence.
Record the issuing agency, the issue date and the expiry date.
Set a renewal lead time if the agency needs longer than the standard notice.
Upload the certificate to the vault so the evidence sits with the date.

Compliance officers, admins and owners can add licences. Viewers and external advisors can read them.

The four statuses

Active: held and standing.
Renewal in progress: you or a runner are working on the replacement.
Expired: no longer valid.
Revoked: withdrawn by the agency.

Renewal in progress does not stop the clock. Once the expiry date passes, the licence still counts as overdue on the dashboard, because the renewal is the thing running late.

How each deadline is worked out

Deadlines are derived from the rule behind the requirement, not typed in by hand. There are four shapes.

Salary payment	One remittance window from the reference date.	NSSF contributions, one month.
Licence issue date	Your certificate's issue date plus its validity period. With no licence row on file, your incorporation date stands in.	OSHA annually, TCRA every 3 years, PDPC every 5 years.

Anniversary and issue-date rules mean two businesses with identical obligations can have completely different dates. That is correct.
